Which IV Certification Option Is Right for Me?​

Both programs meet the Florida Board of Nursing requirements for LPN IV Certification. The best option depends on your learning needs, schedule, and access to an experienced RN.

Choose the Complete IV Certification Program (Online + Hands-On) if you:

​

• Want a complete, start-to-finish learning experience.

• Prefer hands-on instruction with an experienced IV instructor.

• Need your required skills validation completed as part of the course.

• Do not have access to an RN who can independently evaluate and sign off your skills.

• Want additional guidance and confidence before performing IV therapy in practice.

Choose the Online-Only (Independent RN Validation Needed) Program if you:

​

• Already have access to an independent RN who meets the Florida Board of Nursing requirements to observe and validate your skills.

• Want a lower-cost option while completing your hands-on skills at your workplace or another approved clinical setting.

• Are comfortable arranging your own skills check-off using the required competency checklist.

Important Please Read:

The Online-Only Program includes the required didactic (online) education and skills checklist, but it does not include hands-on instruction or skills validation. It is the student's responsibility to locate an independent RN who is qualified and has a license in good standing to observe, evaluate, and sign the competency checklist before the certification process is complete.

What Does it Cost?

This certification costs a total of 360.00 USD for the Online AND Hands-on Program, and 150.00 USD for the Online with Independent RN validation.

Where Is It Located?

All hands-on portions of the Full Course are being held at 10349 E Mallard LN, Floral City, Florida 34436. This is a private residence. There is a separate entrance for the classroom. Contact us about coming to your facility!

How Do I get my Certificate?

You click "sign up" on Ivcert's main home page to book your in-person hands -on training or purchase the online with independent RN validation. Follow the steps emailed to you. You will be emailed the online portion after purchasing. Once completed, you submit your exam answer sheet and paperwork via email. 

How Long Does it Take?

The course typically takes anywhere from 2 to 3.5 hrs depending on class size. 

How Big are the In-Person Hands-on Classes?

We currently have a limit of 4 students per class.
